Amazing lookout on the coast. It is a must see if you’re visiting the area. With a nice car park and excellent view of the ocean, you can do some amazing whale watching. You have to go, 100/10
The Captain Cook Lookout is easy to find a small parking area about 8 cars , 2 level at the lookout. First one, you can see the left side looking at Avoca ,and 2 level you can see out to the sea good for whales watch.
Amazing place for whale watching. The water looks so mind-blowing on a sunny day. A little walk up the hill to the lookout. Sitting arrangements available on the way as well as in the lookout area. Heat might be a bit unbearable on a sunny day.
Perfect spot to whales migrating, spent an hour here watching from the lookout as the pod came around the cliffs.
Bring binoculars and a camera to take pictures. These photos were taken with my phone on a perfect day, not too crowded either.
tiny bit of a walk but so worth it for anyone who not fit or has health issues wont be a struggle at all so i recommend going to see the amazing view has at least 2 tables and and parking close by
Nice view to the north from the lookout next to the carpark, but very boring views of only water and trees from the viewing platform to the south…
Would be a good whale watching spot when in season…
Great views out to sea, loved watching the full moon rise there, bench seats and a large and safe viewing platform provided. Approximately 30 steps along small track from carpark
Lovely little park. The emphasis being on little. It's neat & clean with two lookout platforms that present beautiful views over the sea. There are two table & benches to enjoy lunch. Never take your eyes off children & pets.
